Received a call from a Mr. Mike Stewart (Spanish accent) with Worldwide Realtors Inc., claiming he could sell my Grand Miramar contract for about $22,000.00. Interesting part to his offer was that he knew my contract number, email address and the fact that I had another time share when I purchased the GM contract. He sent a non-binding proposal by email stating that I should sign the document and return it to his office. Once that was completed, he would send me an official contract to get the process started. I played along and returned the signed document the next day. Within a couple of days I received an email with a Contract attached. It was full of bad spelling and grammar and a slightly different address than the first.

At a later date I received a call from a Mr. Robert Diaz, claiming to be a Senior Broker with Worldwide Realtors. We had a short conversation before I had to leave so I received another call the next day by someone claiming to the Financial Officer. I asked him for real estate license number for the company and broker but he tried to side step the question. Asked for a business license number, but he couldn’t answer that either. Let him know that I checked the Dallas Court of Records for a 695 N. St. Paul Street (listed on the first document) address and it didn’t exist. The second document has 695 N. St., Dallas Texas. I also checked the Department of Real Estate in Texas and there is no listing for the company or Robert Diaz. I finished our conversation by telling to say hello to Johnny Montalvo. Anyone who has ever had bad dealings with the Grand Miramar Sales team should know that name.

This is a scam to get some up-front fees from you and then they disappear. They will claim they don’t charge these fees, but requests will start when the process reaches the so called escrow department or title company. By the way, these are not real companies either. They might use some well know names but they are not real. This scam was throwing around the name of Morgan Stanley Chase.

To date I have been contacted by 21 different parties (listed below) trying the same scam. They all use a similar process to steal your money. Don’t fall for it. Do your research and report your findings on the internet as I do so maybe we can help some unsuspecting soul from losing their money to these scammers.
