Resorts Owned
Worldmark
Hi,
I'm a current owner of Worldmark that I bought on the secondary market. I live on the West Coast. I want to buy more points as we crush through ours every year. However, I would like to be able to use Club Wyndham resorts (especially when I travel out east). I was debating purchasing Wyndham points on the secondary market instead so that I could. However, can you use Wyndham points on the secondary market to book Worldmark Resorts? Hoping a current owner could enlighten me as to the availability of resorts (or point me to a room count or map) for a Wyndham owner of points on the secondary market.

Thanks so much!
Kristin

WorldMark resorts are very limited in Wyndham. If you want WorldMark, buy more. If you want Wyndham, acquire some points. Keep in mind that weeks at Bonnet Creek, for example, 2 bedrooms range from 112,000 to 224,000 for 7 nights, depending on season. The currencies are completely different.

If you buy Wyndham, MF's are dependent upon the resort you buy, so buying a Williamsburg Kingsgate 238K points contract is very reasonable in MF's, 2023 was under $6.00 but buying Pagosa Springs is over $10-11 per 1,000 points in MF's Be careful what you buy. Club Wyndham Access is rather expensive as well.

Only Developer acquired Points from Wyndham and Developer acquired Credits from Worldmark can be used for ClubPass. As suggested previously maybe you should look at acquiring Resell in the Organization to which you do not belong.

Thanks so much, quick question, IF I just want to buy Wyndham points to use anywhere, what should I be looking for in the ads? Is that what Club Wyndham Access is?

Any Wyndham points contract you buy will give you access to all Club Wyndham resorts. Club Wyndham Access also gives you access to all Club Wyndham resorts, but also gives you an extra three months (13 months before your reservation date, rather than 10 months) to book your vacations at a subset of the Club Wyndham resorts. It's like having 70+ home resorts. But Club Wyndham Access comes with higher maintenance fees than some of the popular low-fee resorts in the system. Many people find they don't necessarily need the extra three months to book, but it will depend on your situation.

In terms of looking at ads, just be sure that what you're buying is a points contract. The ad should be explicit on that, so steer clear if not.

There is a nice selection of resorts in CA, NV and AZ where you can use Club Wyndham points when you do not travel back East. Some of them are dual ownership resorts -- WorldMark and Club Wyndham. Angels Camp, CA and South Shore, NV are a couple of examples. There is a map and list of resorts in the Club Wyndham directory.
