Thanks to a post here, we are booked for late October via RCI Extra Vacations. Reading recent Trip Advisor reviews, several posts indicated that their bookings (one via Priceline) were cancelled within days of check-in.
Do I need to be concerned?
Just had a Galway Ireland VRBO cancelled 9/2 for a 9/6 arrival date so reading those reviews has me afraid of deja vu.

I would suspect that reservations through "RCI Extra Vacations" are pretty secure. To sleep better at night, I would call the resort to confirm your reservations

Given both RCI and Extra Vacations are owned and operated by Travel and Leisure (The same company that owns Worldmark), I have the most confidence with your reservation.

Part of the issue of Priceline and the other rental sites is around 3rd party rentals.

When in doubt, call to confirm.

Moab is awesome!

I checked out the reviews on TA, Google, and Yelp. It looks like it was just a few people over a holiday weekend, so hopefully it was a one-off, not a trend.

We have only stayed there once, and everything was fine so no personal experience of an issue with them. I would be pretty upset! That is unacceptable.

Over on wmowners.com I remember reading of this happening to owners with reservations, but that was a while ago. The reservation system for Moab was broken and showed ghost availability that folks were able to book that was later cancelled. I have not heard of this happening in quite a while, so I think they fixed the problem with reservations.
