I will be going to a destination wedding in Cancun in October. While booking, a pop-up stated that I can get a $300 statement credit on this booking, plus 10,000 Hyatt points if I apply for their credit card. However, when I look further, I cannot see what requirement is needed to earn the $300. Then while searching for best Hyatt credit cards, there are no offers elsewhere for the statement credit, only for 60,000 points. I did book a Hyatt room once, using a 15,000 point transfer from Chase Sapphire Reserve, but I am not familiar with their programs or hotels. I will apply for the card, since for the $95 annual fee, you get one free room a year. For anyone familiar, shall I apply for the $300 credit? Or the extra points?
Thanks. - Jacki

I would only take the credit ding for a branded card if it was a brand I actually frequently used. So having said that do you often stay at hyatt hotels? If you still have the chase Sapphire card I would honestly stick to that unless it was a positive answer to staying at hyatt
