Paying for 21 years for this and I still owe 92k. Upgraded a few times. 65000k credits every year.
Does anyone want this? I can not afford it anymore. Or should I just walk away into Foreclosure? Is it even worthwhile to post this as free? So someone else can take over the 92k ? I have a feeling I wont get anyone interested on this. But I thought I would post this before I walk away.

No one will take over the contract with amount owing. Worldmark credits are selling for less than 10 cents a point in the resale market. Just walk away from it and let Wyndham foreclose on you.
Thank you for that. Should I call the timeshare? Let them know that I’m not making any more payments. Should I write them a letter? Will I go to court and get sued? Or will it just be on my credit report for the next seven years?

You can write to them but it won't change anything. They won't let you out of your contract. They won't sue you, it's unheard of. The debt will go into collections, which means that you will get phone calls from debt collection agencies for a year or two. Your credit report will be hit for the next 7 years.

That’s exactly what I wanted to hear you’re the best. Thank you.

The majority of us here agree with VF. Walk away and ignore Worldmark. You will be fine and better off financially.

Just a thought. Sell as many OTU credits as you can before defaulting

I didn't even know WorldMark was that expensive to buy direct. We own 46,000 points and bought resale very cheaply. I love the points but that is a ridiculous amount of money.

Yes, absolutely ridiculous. I really got suckered. And I called them today to get them to stop taking payments out of my bank account. They really didn’t like that. I have about 160,000 points available to use and I can still borrow some. I guess it’s all going to the trash. Thanks, Rick 👍

You can recoup about 8 cents per point by renting / selling one time use credits before stopping payment. 160,000 plus 92,0000 = 252,000 points. At 8 cents per credit, you can recoup about $20k before walking away. Go to wmowners.con to learn and list your credits for one-time use sale/rent.

You can rent the credits out only if your mf is current is what I think. It sounds like Nate has stopped paying the mf.

Thank you Bill. At the moment I am current my next payment is due in two weeks. Maybe I can work something out before I don’t pay them.
