I know everyone loves Platinum season but what about a Gold Plus season for free? Does a small 1-bed trade well in II? Or perhaps still a good value to use 37k to book within VSN?

It's free for a reason and the general court of opinion on here seems to be they are not good value/traders.

Do you know the MF per StarOption ratio? If so, you can compare it to something like SVV Bella or Key West. I think Bella and Key West have better MF to SO ratios, but WKV Gold Plus is easier to find on resale.

So I went and did the math. The 2BR LO has a annual fee of $2,157.
  • The WKV Gold Plus 2BR LO only comes with 81,000 StarOptions. That's 2.6 cents per StarOption.
  • The SVV Bella Platinum (Prime) 2BR dedicated comes with 81,000 StartOptions but has an annual fee of $1,686.62. That's only 2.1 cents per StarOption.

With SVV you are saving about $500 a year on fees but it will probably cost a couple thousand to buy. You would come out ahead after four to five years.

by the same match, for WKV buying platinum for 10 cents per point upfront takes 8 years to recoup over Gold plus, or 16 years over SVV Bela Plat…

Personally
My two cents
If you love it, you’ll use it
You are paying nothing compared to the original purchase
Embrace it and enjoy it
I’ve made great deals and ok deals
But… I’m thrilled with what I have ❤️

This is, of course, considering that both are worth $0 resale when it comes time to unload the weeks.
