WKORV confirmation-from Marriott?

Someone told me I should get a Marriott confirmaton of my week reservation at the WKORV unit I own. I have always just gotten a Vistana confirmation. Is this something new? TIA.
 
Thanks. So I call the Vistana 800 number to get this? At the Vistana website I only see the option to have Vistana email me the confirmation.
 
You should get a Marriott confirmation automatically when you book. If not, log in to your Bonvoy account - it will be there if you have your Bonvoy number on file with Vistana. If not, try requesting a confirmation from Vistana website, you may get a Marriott one. In any case, the resorts can no longer see the Vistana reservations with 6-digit numbers, they only see Marriott ones with 8-digit numbers.

Is the reservation showing up in your account on Marriott.com? If so, you can resend from there. If you don't see it there, you will need to call Owner Services and ask for the Marriott Bonvoy Confirmation #. WIth that, you can then look up the reservation on Marriott.com and send the Marriott confirmation from there.

You don't already have a Marriott Bonvoy #? The Marriott.com has nothing to do with Marriott Vacation Club, it is the hotel company.
 
Now I am really confused. The TS unit I own is at the WKORV (Westin or Vistana). I have had it for years. Confirmations have always come from Westin/Vistana.

Separately I do have a Marriott Bonvoy hotel points account. Isn’t that separate from my TS? Or are confirmations for my TS now coming from Marriott Bonvoy. Ayayayay.

Yes, the Marriott confirmations being referred to are coming from Marriott Bonvoy. You should be able to see the reservations under My Trips when you are logged in on Marriott.com.
 
I am told it is a “new 8 digit Marriott confirmation number.” The confirmation email I can send from my Marriott Bonvoy account does not have such an 8 digit number.
 
How do you know unless you sent it? When you are looking at your upcoming trips in My Trips, the confirmation number shown on the screen is 8 digits, probably begins with a 7, 8 or 9.
 
For what it’s worth, my reservation was only on Vistana and not in my Bonvoy account. I emailed from the Bonvoy site with my Vistana confirmation and it was updated on Bonvoy the same day. Also recd an email confirmation. Avoided a phone call altogether.
