Hi all, I am new to this site. I have seen the wishlist section in the marketplace. If you have ever posted there, do you receive messages from people who have the weeks you are wanting? How were you notified of messages? I have reached out to a couple people, within the last two weeks, letting them know that I have what they are looking for. I have gotten no response and there is no record of me sending the message. I am just wondering if these posters are receiving my messages.

Also, how does one post an available floating week if you have to prove that week with a confirmation email? I don't want to confirm a week if I don't have a buyer yet. Any suggestions on this would be really helpful

when sending a message, the member is notified instantly via email that someone has sent them a message so they can log in and respond.

note that the response will come directly from the member, not TUG.

all members with unread marketplace messages are also sent a reminder email each monday. On any given monday 50 or more members are sent this 2nd reminder notification to log in and check/respond to their messages.

Thank you for your response Brian. Any suggestions on how to place an add without a confirmation?

I tried to post a classified ad on marketplace offering a Hawaii week at KoOlina. It is a floating week. I have not confirmed any of the weeks yet because I wanted to see if someone would like to book a specific week. I received a message saying that my ad couldn't be posted unless I proved confirmation for a specific week. I don't want to confirm a specific week because I will deposit my weeks if no one wants to rent them. If a week is confirmed, I will lose it because I am not planning on going to Hawaii this year.
In my ad I stated that people could contact me with hoped for weeks and I can check on availability.

Does this clarify?

Here is what I received...
In order to post the rental you recently submitted to TUG, we will need you to forward the original owner reservation confirmation email to us for verification purposes.

There are fraud prevention systems in the TUG marketplace that will flag rental listings for various reasons to request additional verification before they can be posted.

Sometimes these also flag legitimate listings but the request of a reservation confirmation is not an unreasonable request to allow us to verify the ownership and or reservation details match the details of the membership. If that cannot be provided or the owner is unwilling to provide we simply wont publish the rental. Especially a rental from a brand new member for a very high value listing etc.

This sometimes upsets legitimate owners who feel its unnecessary and or a waste of time however given the way most timeshare rental scams are run not requesting verification when a rental gets flagged would be a far worse option. After all, if an owner isnt willing or able to provide confirmation for a listing that would be a huge red flag for any potential renter and as such we would not wish for a listing like that to be published in our marketplace.

That is understandable. Is there another way for me to prove that I own these weeks? How do others sell their floating weeks? It doesn't make sense to me to confirm a week that I don't plan on using or have a renter for. I would lose that week. Please help me understand how I can provide proof so I can post an ad for Hawaii. Please point me to where to find this info. I did not receive an email response to my inquiry as to how to provide proof.

Thank you
