WiFi at HRA -- DONUTS!

If you really need wifi at HRA, go to the Dunkin Donuts in the plaza across the street from the Marina Village. FREE WIFI! That signal was strong and worked well for the relatively short time I was there. I didn't try to VPN but email and basic apps worked fine. The wifi last week at HRA and Atlantis was week and spotty. It may have been a capacity problem, but certainly didn't make the $21.95 worth it, even for 4 devices (that were not streaming video or playing games). BTW, a dozen donuts are $14 -- not too bad given Bahamas prices, especially if it includes free wifi.
 
When we were there in Oct, the paid wifi worked great in the unit; however Atlantis
is the only place I've ever been in Mexico or the Caribbean that the 3G on my IPhone or IPad didn't work at all. I was really surprised.
