Which states have 2 week quarantine requests/requirements to visitors?

As people are starting to plan, think or dream about their next vacation, it may be good to know which states have "you can come, but need to quarantine for 2 weeks when you get here" requests. Granted this list will be a moving target, but still good info to check on before you plan a summer vacation.

I know Massachusetts and Rhode Island do. Which others?

Signs like this one have been popping up all around Rhode Island, including Newport which is a small TimeShare destination. They don't even want day trippers in the state right now.

Supposedly New Mexico has a self quarantine requirement if you're coming into the state. Only way they could enforce it is if you come in by air.

Maine has a 2 week quarantine for out of staters. Once things start to open up more in June (campgrounds, day camps for kids, etc) many are going to be open only to residents of Maine. It's not gonna be a pretty tourist season....lots of restaurants are starting to permanently close/go out of business.

Although the Privileges & Immunities Clause of the U.S. Constitution (Art.IV, Sec.2) protects the right of citizens to freely travel between states (citation omitted), the Supremes in numerous cases, consistently allow states to use quarantines to protect against the importation of disease by people, animals and things.

From what I've read...

I think a difference here is that they aren't quarantining people, because that would mean that those that have to quarantine are sick. They likely aren't. They just happen to be traveling from another state or locality.

That being said, there haven't been any news reports of anyone being visited during quarantine.

Every state should have a 2 week quarantine. A few coming from the least affected states should not have to if traveling to the others.

Hawaii has a two week quarantine in affect until the end of May.

I guess it is one of those rules that will still deter a lot of people even if it is not enforced.

Forms are being distributed on incoming flights. I'm assuming that if you can prove you do not have Texas residency (e.g. you have a driver's license for another nearby state) then you wouldn't have to fill out the forms. You're correct that the highways are not currently monitored. There were checkpoints at the Louisiana/Texas border for a while.

If I rent a car with plates from OH and drive to a airbnb how would anyone know? Just wondering doesn't seem easy to enforce unless flying.

Iam not sure about your state but here in Michigan the prisons and Jails are are the Worst place for for CV-19 for both Guards and prison populations. I think there should be a moratorium on ALL jails and Prisons for no new intakes EXCEPT for very Violent repeat offenders until this CV-19 is mostly under control. I would really like to hear from police/sheriffs/county prosecutors/ and medical experts on this.

Yup, the Jackson State Prison has a very high infection rate, more so than the overall State of Michigan rate, which is already high. I believe the prisons in NY are very high, too.
