I see HGVC has several resorts in Carlsbad: Grand Pacific Palisades, Hilton Grand Vacation Club at MarBrisa, and Carlsbad SeaPointe Resort. We are looking to take a trip to CA in September and wondered which of the properties are the nicest? We have no children so we don't care about proximity to Legoland.

Thanks!

Most modern and up to date is marbrisa. Closest to the ocean is seapointe.

"Nicest" would be different for everyone. Post what you are looking for in the resorts and i am sure you will get a lot of responses.

Marbrisa is the newest, has a great pool, and a pool bar and great restaurant and spa on site. The ocean is in the distance. The rooms are great.

Seapointe is older but the units are recently refurbished. The pool is nice with a gorgeous view of the ocean. You can see whales and dolphins from the pool and hear the waves crashing on the shore. There is no onsite food.

Marbrisa is the only HGVC resort and the rooms have the furnishings that you expect when you stay at HGVC. It is spread out on both side of the Sheraton Hotel, which has Twenty/20 Grill - a very good restaurant/bar.

Grand Pacific Palisades has the best, most responsive manager and staff. You can get a great view or a really bad view. There is a large adults only pool area and a couple fire pits. It has Karl Strauss on site and that is nice if you like to drink beer and eat in a loud restaurant.

My personal favorite is Seapointe, but it is the least HGVC out of any of them. I love it for sitting on the balcony watching the ocean. It has a smaller adults only pool area with the best views out of any of the resorts and a fairly clean gym. The big downside to this place is that if you want food or a drink, you have to leave the property.

Or eat and drink IN the timeshare. I like that too. :)
