Which is a better choice - Palm Beach Shores or Crystal Shores?

We are going in mid-Aug - which is better? More to do in area?

We will have 2 adults + DD&boyfriend (age 24).

We have been to Palm Beach Shores years ago and it was nice, always went in April though.

Need some help deciding.

thx - Maryk

I prefer the waves on the Atlantic side of Florida. It really comes down to that for me. East Coast is more urbanized, which is a second plus for me. The two areas are quite different. Marco is one of the few Marriott Vacation Club areas that are not on my radar for a future stay for those reasons. Many others will prefer Marco that enjoy its charm

Both areas are nice. Both will be hot. I have not been there in August. I know my 20 year old preferred Marco Island with her male friend. Crystal shores is very nice with many activities . They will like hanging out at the pool and the beach. They can do an everglade trip, some water, Naples zoo. I would call Crystal Shores and ask them what is available as far as activities onsite and off in August.

Marco Island is a ghost town in August. Try PBS.

I own at Ocean Pointe and we love it there. Crystal Shores is a great property and we loved it there as well. We visited Crystal Shores in August and it was actually cooler there than it was at home in Maryland during the week that we visited. That being said, it is off season and yes places will be closed. We were there with young kids and stayed at the resort, other than going out for dinner and renting a boat one day, so that did not bother us. Everything around Ocean Pointe is open year round so you may want to consider that for an August trip and visit Crystal Shores when everything is open on Marco Island.
