Which Cabo Villa Group resort is best?

Hello all. I am trying to plan a Cabo trip for March 2023 and am planning on putting in an ongoing search in II. I am looking at villa del palmar and villa del arco. We have three kids ages 5-11. Which resort would you recommend. And are there others as well that you would suggest other then the villa group? We also have access to RCi. I like the location of medano beach for walking to restaurants and the marina etc. thanks in advance for any info!

We went to the Westin in Cabo. Great resort. I would recommend it.

No walking to anywhere from the Westin in Cabo. It is about a mile to the Hwy.

True, but taxis are available to go into CABO.

I’ve stayed at both……my opinion
No comparison
Villa del Arco is much nicer

But it might be hard to get an exchange into Arco, not as easy as Palmar

You can also try trading into Club Cascadas or Casa Dorada
Both are on the beach

There are also a couple Pueblo Bonito Resorts, but I’ve never stayed there. I believe these (2) trade with RCI

Using RCI, I would recommend Pueblo Bonito at Sunset Beach, Pueblo Bonito Rose and Playa Grande. The most walkable one is the Rose. PB Sunset Beach has a very convenient complementary hourly bus to take you to the Rose and back. Playa Grande is a bit of a hilly walk down to town, up (of course) to return. But we are in our 70s and had no problem doing it daily to go to dinner.

For kids the Villa del Palmar Cabo is better. The resort has been remodeled and it is very kid friendly with the whale slide and kid center. The laundry facility is next to the resort. The Villa del Arco rooms are larger with a larger deck and washer dryer in all 1 bedroom + units. Almost every week they have a turtle release that the kids enjoy. These resorts are close enough to town but far enough away that you get the best of both distance wise, imo. The AI seems to be required in many Mexican resorts. The Pueblo Bonito resorts didn't require AI but you would need to check.

Correct, AI is not mandatory at Pueblo Bonito resorts.
