Does anyone know which buildings at Surfwatch have 3 bedroom units? We are Marriott owners, but not SW owners so we do not expect prime location, but were wondering what building to request.

Each building and each floor has 3 bedroom apartments

depending upon which type of building you are assigned to

there is 1 ocean front building (Ocean Dunes), 2 ocean view buildings (Tide Mark and Ocean Marsh), and 2 garden / lake view buildings (Sea Dunes and Sea Cove)

we own a 3 BR in the ocean view buildings and always stay on the top floor of Tide Mark,
on the opposite side of the complex from the check in building, it is is right next to the entrance to the boardwalk to the beach, it is on the opposite side of Registration and opposite side away from all the Sales Tours and we are right next to the big pool

we stay there each year and we really like that building.

find out what type building u traded into, and i can suggest for you

We'll be staying at Surf Watch end of March. I just looked at my Interval confirmation, and it does not specify what "type" of building we have traded for.

Tide Mark sounds fine to me...............I'll give it a try ?:whoopie:

Get your Marriott reservation number off your II confirmation certificate. Go to Marriott dot com and sign in. Then go to "find my reservation" and plug in that reservation number and your last name. The details page will show you what kind of room you have.

You can then also "attach" that reservation to your Marriott rewards number.

I was in a 3 Bedroom Villa at Surfwatch this past November and was very unhappy with the location. They placed us in the building closest to the main entrance gate (I think it was the 5400 building) and it took us forever to walk anywhere on the property.

It was as far away from the beach and boardwalk that you possibly could be.

They really weren't interested in honoring my request for something closer to the beach (claimed everything else was occupied).

I think that is Sea Dunes, yes that is quite a hike to the beach from there
- you can always request a golf cart ride - they always come and pick you up

In January, I was in the second building past the entrance gate to the left as you are coming into the resort. We stayed in a three bedroom unit, had a great view of the lake and fountain. If all you wanted to do was stay in your room . . . the location was fine. Getting anywhere on the property was a maze and the beach was way too far away for my 82 year old Dad who did not want to bother someone to drive him in a golf cart. I must also say we had a hard time getting people to do anything extra . . . like opening up the bike rentals in the middle of a week day. This was our most most disappointing resort visit of all the Marriotts we have visited . . . maybe I had my expectations too high. I had taken a tour in the past and loved the over looks of the property. The villas are some of the best I have seen, but staying there . . . another story. Least you think I am throwing a total wet blank on our stay and Surfwatch . . . we did have a good time and as stated previously . . . the villas are great with tons of elbow room for a large family.

Thanks for your help!!! I looked up my reservation on marriott.com as thinze3recommended and I have a garden view. Does this mean that we definitely are in Sea Dunes or Sea Cove or can we request a garden view in a different building? Surely the lower units in Tide Mark and Ocean Marsh do not have an ocean view. Like many, I would like to be as close to the pool and beach and as high up as as possible in a building that is recently refurbished. Any recommendations for requests? I am not sure if it makes a difference, but we have a Friday check in.

Thanks again!!

Yes

the Garden View Unit is always within the Sea Dunes and Sea Cove Buildings.

The purchase price and building classification depends on the building you buy in, not the floor or view of that particular unit.

You will be right next to the indoor pool, but a nice walk to the outdoor pool and a golf cart ride to the beach.

Within the TUG resort database, reviews section, if you log in - you can see the property layout on the attached layout

You can ask for a high floor in your building

Not sure if an owner gets preference for requests, as opposed to someone who trades in
