We are VIP owners and are going for the first time to Wyndham Smoky mountains and then to Governors green and then to SeaWatch Plantation.

We will be in a 3 bedroom at all resorts. Would love pretty views especially at Smoky Mountains and SeaWatch. Maybe near the pool at Governors green.

Thanks

At Smoky Mountains, we prefer buildings 24 - 26 because those buildings are the highest at the resort. You can see some mountains and some countryside from there. The parking lot is also relatively flat in front of those buildings. If you would prefer to see the lights & buildings of Sevierville, then building 23 is the best one. It is also closer to the pool than the other ones, but the parking lot is slanted. A slanted parking lot makes it hard to control the luggage cart. The buildings on the other side of the road don't have much to offer. Either they're too close to Collier Drive so you hear traffic or they're too close to a pasture with not much of a view.

As far as SeaWatch goes, I would ask for an ocean front unit. However, there would be just a slim chance of that due to the fact that there are more ocean view units than ocean front. There is no point differential between them. There is a possibility that you might would end up in the Villa section and they usually don't have any view of the ocean.

As far as Governor's Green goes, there isn't much difference in building locations. There's an indoor pool in the check in building and there's an adult only pool near the entrance. So you can look at the resort map and figure out which building you would prefer.

hope this helps

Just spent 6 nights at seawatch in July and would love to have had this info before we booked. Seawatch is a dual owned resort - Wyndham owns all the units in the villas and only some specific units in the towers. The rest of the units in the towers are owned by seawatch resort. All the units in the villas will have an ocean view. They all have a balcony. The villas sit farther away from the ocean(see the resort map @ wyndham) so you will also have a view of the other buildings/pools as well. After speaking with the manager while we were there, the only difference in ocean view vs. ocean front in their eyes is that ocean front looks directly at the ocean with nothing in the way of your view. It does not mean you are on the beach. Ocean view may have the other buildings in the view(not blocking it), but you still have the ocean view. There is no difference in their eyes other than that. You get assigned a building based on what day you check in - Friday is part of villa 3, and a portion of the rooms in the south tower. Saturday will be part of villa 1,part of villa 3, a few rooms in the south tower and some of the rooms in the north tower. Sunday is villa 2, some of villa 3, and some of the north and south towers. I just looked at the room list they gave us while we stayed there listing every wyndham owned room at the resort by size and building and there are only 22 three bedroom units and 8 additional 3 bedroom lock off units so good luck getting your 3br. The staff there(non sales staff) was great to us and very helpful so if you need any more info I would call the front desk there directly and they can fill you in further. Sorry to be so long-winded, the place can be a bit confusing if you've never been there with the dual ownership situation. Enjoy your stay:whoopie:

If you reserved a 3 br non lockoff in the towers it will be oceanfront. (They all are)
