Where to Watch the Tour de France 2020

By Catherine Rickman / Sports / Frenchly / August 26, 2020

“The return of sports has brought joy to many, but there’s one event that France has really been gearing up to return to: the Tour de France. The annual cycling competition, the largest and most challenging in the world, was scheduled, as usual, for July. Due to COVID-19, the 107th edition of the race was rescheduled to the end of summer. It will kick off this Saturday, August 29, in Nice, and finish on Sunday, September 20, in Paris, with the traditional victory route down the Champs-Élysées....”

Where to watch? ... On TV.
I did go see a stage in 2018. My impression is that it's more a parade than a race.
You have vendors tossing goodies to the crowd, sponsor cars, officials cars, press cars,
team busses, all rolling by, and lastly, the cyclists, who wiz by in a blink and are gone.
It's a circus.

The best place to watch any sports right now is at your home on television to practice social distancing. Also, you do not needs to wear as mask. Finally, you have unlimited excess to your favorite snacks and beverages. IMHO.

Near the sea.
No. I suggest a camper van on the side of the road in whatever quaint village the race goes through. Celebrate like the French do.

A few years ago in the Ariège region of the Midi-Pyrénée, where my father’s family home is located, the race went very close by the house.
