Since Tuggers know absolutely everything :) can someone tell me where to buy Rescue Remedy for my dog? She is TERRIFIED of thunder and even driving rain will make her quiver. Recently, my mom was dog-sitting for me and a storm came up. Mom gave her a dose of RR, and she WENT TO SLEEP during the storm. Mom was going to give me her bottle and buy herself another, but I forgot to take it. She gets it at some kind of natural pet food store near her home, but I don't have any such animal (ouch!) near me. A google search reveals some online sources, but I wondered if I could find it locally and avoid shipping fees.

I've never heard of it for pets before, but my sister swore by it for her grandkids. You can can the people version (I don't know if its different for pets) from Whole Food Markets, Vitamin Shoppe, or almost any health food store. Good luck.

Some smaller independent pharmacies carry it along with the other Bach flower remedies. Whole Foods for sure.

Rescue Remedy

Liz is right. Look for Bach Flower remedies in the supplements area of any natural foods store. It's not a pet store thing particularly unless you live in a wholistic pet neighborhood. My dentist keeps a little bottle of the stuff in every treatment room, and I'm always glad he does. Be careful though, with little dogs a little bit goes a long way. Just a couple drops on the tongue should do it. Works on stressed-out dog relatives too. :)

I have a pretty big girl--a 60-pound greyhound. We don't have Whole Foods around here, but I will try Trader Joe's or a health food store. I didn't know it was for people until I looked on their website and apparently, Jennifer Aniston swears by the stuff.

Jennifer is afraid of thunder? :)

I think all dogs (not Jennifer) are afraid of thunder, lightning, heavy rain, and fireworks. At least all mine have been.

Jennifer is afraid of flying, I saw her talking about it on TV, on Leno or Letterman one night. Maybe she uses it for this purpose?

Our local GNC sells it.
