I got this on 3/25
Aloha Owners,
As you are aware, your Home Resort is scheduled to undergo a pool transformation in 2024. The pool renovation project is scheduled to start on April 29, 2024, with an estimated completion at the end of June. We’ve been receiving great questions from owners regarding this project, and so I wish to share insight through this communication.
To summarize the scope of this project, the lagoon pools will be completely resurfaced, with a new finish applied. The infinity pool and hot tubs will be closed during this same period, and will be receiving cosmetic updates. We are also replacing the existing pool heat exchangers and heat pumps to remedy the water temperature issues that have been a source of concern in recent months. The flagstone walkways will be refreshed, and the pool perimeter will have barricades in-place to ensure owner safety. There will be no changes to the existing layout of the pool area. We anticipate that the first three weeks of construction in May will be the most intrusive in terms of noise levels.
The Tiki Bar will be temporarily closed; we will reopen this amenity once the noisiest portion of the work is completed which is anticipated to be towards the end of May. The following amenities will remain open: lawn access for outdoor activities, the Lahaina Provision Company (LPC) market, a walk-up order window for your bar-beverages, beach cabana rentals, crafts and activities in the lobby facilitated by our Activities Team and the barbeque stations. For your convenience, our food and beverage mobile-ordering app will be live to expedite your orders from LPC.
Of course, as the Hyatt Regency resort’s pool is a shared-use facility, their pool will continue to be available to you during your property’s pool renewal. Finally, the beach is accessible for your enjoyment as well.
I’m also delighted to announce new enhancements that are planned to arrive soon after the pool’s reopening as part of this renovation:
♣ New pool lounge chairs and tables
♣ New in-pool loungers
♣ New beach cabanas, with swivel bases
We genuinely appreciate your understanding as we enhance your pools as a focal point to your property, to be enjoyed for years to come. As a reminder to all owners, the Hyatt Kā‘anapali Beach Club consists of two separate associations: a vacation ownership association, H.K.B. VACATION OWNERS' ASSOCIATION (VOA), and an apartment of unit owners association, ASSOCIATION OF UNIT OWNERS OF H.K.B. CONDOMINIUM (AOUO). The VOA operates all components within the timeshare units and AOUO operates all common spaces at the resort property. For 2024 maintenance fees, invoices were sent separately for these two associations. You may want to review your 2024 payments and ensure that both invoices (one for the VOA and one for the AOUO) were paid. To book future reservations and to remain in good standing with each association, both maintenance fee invoices need to be paid.
If you find that either of the invoices was overlooked, you can pay online through The Lounge at thelounge.hyattvacationclub.com, where you’ll be redirected to a third-party payment portal, or over the phone, by calling 800-GO-HYATT.
