What's the likelihood of getting a trade when you are < 60 days from check in?

Awesome trade! Enjoy France, we really loved our stay at this property back in the Fall. Make sure you have some of the fresh croissants from the Marketplace on site! YUM!!
Yes for sure I am headed straight for those delicious croissants!! :)

Great news, I was wondering if your trade came through. Enjoy your vacation.

Thank you!! I'm even more excited to go now after my trade came through! :)

Hi All! I wanted to update everyone who had replied to me that today was my lucky day! I have been checking Interval's website multiple times a day every single day for the past month or more and today finally my commitment to checking paid off!!! I was able to trade my studio from Marriott's Harbour Lake to a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom at Marriott's Village d'lle de France with a check in date of June 29th! We are arriving on June 30th so I wasn't concerned about losing the first day since our plane arrives on the 30th in Paris at 8:15 AM Paris time. So this way we can leave the airport and go immediately to our room after we check in instead of waiting until 4 pm check in time. I am beyond thrilled and so super excited! This goes to show that even with a pending request that is active you can find a trade on your own. I always relied on the pending request to do the work for me but in this case it just was not happening. So I diligently checked many times per day and night - even the middle of the night! I had a back up plan already in place but now I can cancel my back up reservations and look forward to enjoying this amazing resort in France! Thank you again to everyone who replied to my post. Since I'm heading to a resort near Disneyland Paris I have just one thing to say.... "Dreams do come true!" :)
Great story and congratulations. Since you are arriving a day later, you may want to make sure you call the resort to let them know that you now wont be checking in on your expected date. God forbid they think you’re a no-show and cancel your hard fought for reservation! Paris is one of our favorite Cities in the world! Bon voyage!

I think you meant Bonvoy-age.

Enjoy! Looks like you caught a cancellation.
Be sure you let the resort know you when you will be arriving so they don’t think you are a no show.

Very happy for you! Wow! What a money saver that will be.

I am hoping to go April of 2027, and I have already put in a request for two units, believe it or not.

I also have to congratulate you on getting a unit within 60 days because no upgrade fees! Well worth your time to check every day.

Yes I tried to call them today but they said the reservation was not in their system yet since it had only been 1 hour since the trade was confirmed. I will call them tomorrow morning to tell them we are arriving on the 30th. Thank you for the suggestion!!

Wow you are able to put in a request 2 years in advance? I did not know that. I had put in the request only 6 months before our travel date. I was accepting the fact that we likely would not get a trade. I feel very lucky to have gotten one!

I called the resort this morning and they have updated our reservation to reflect the check in date of June 30th. We are all set! Thanks for the suggestion! :)

Hopefully you gave them the time too so they have the room ready when you arrive since the night of the 29th really is your too.
Have a great time!

One can request up to 2 years out or 2 years from the expiration of the deposit (2 years from reservation date) whichever is less. It's not very common in II that deposits are able to be done 2 years in advance, it's much more common in RCI. The advantage of requesting early is that if any deposits show up, you'll be on the list and have a better chance of receiving a match. All one really needs is to be searching by the time the first deposit could show up which varies by resort and system. For MVC I'd say 18 months is the earliest for fixed week resorts but for most resorts, 15 months will ensure you're searching for the first deposit made. One can also search up to 2 years before a given deposit as well. I'm routinely searching 2 years ahead and modifying requests at times to add additional times/resorts that were outside the 2 year window initially. I also may add other resorts later that were not my first choice if I have not received a match.

Hi! I saw in an old thread that you did a review of your trip to Paris from 2017. Would you still have that information available? I'm planning to rent a car and also plan to use the public transportation to go back and forth to Paris on the train. I saw there is a train station near Disney and also one near Val d'Europe so was wondering if these train stations have parking available and how late do they run for returning back to the resort. I saw on google you can buy a ticket that can be used for all of France's transportation - train, metro, bus - like a daily pass which would probably be perfect as we plan to use the metro inside of Paris in addition to the train. I would like to avoid driving in the city of Paris as I've heard it is not recommended. Anyway was wondering if you still had the review you wrote up as I saw several people thought it was extremely useful. Thank you!! - This question was for Pamplemousse. Thanks

There is free parking at the Val d'Europe Mall which is a very easy walk over to the RER A Train Station there. We always parked in the end of the lot near the Lidl grocery store. As its the closest to the train station. (The mall is HUUUUUUUGEEEEE)

We drove there and parked everyday when we took the train into Paris as we had no desire to attempt to drive into the city even though we had a rental for the full week there. I think officially the lot closes at Midnight- we did return after Midnight one night and there was still one gate open that we were able to exit. (but all the other gates were closed unlike the other nights when we returned a bit earlier)

The pin on this map was the one gate that was open so we could exit after Midnight. All the other gates were closed at that hour.

Thank you so much for this information! We have a rental car for the week as well since I get a corporate discount for car rentals. But I also do not want to drive into Paris as I'm worried about finding a parking spot and also I heard the traffic in Paris is crazy. So yeah I was wondering if the RER station near Val d'Europe had parking available. That's a great idea to park in the mall nearby especially since it's free! I saw that mall looks enormous! I am not sure if we will be back from Paris after midnight but we do have so much we want to see in Paris that it could be possible to get back very late. Do you know what time the last train leaves Paris for the Val d'Europe station? Thank you again for this information!

The only night we returned after Midnight was when we went to the Crazy Horse Paris Show. The other nights is was more like 10-11PM.

The last train time back would vary depending on which station in Paris you are boarding from- but in general between Midnight and 12:30AM.

Apple Maps worked great for us in Paris for using the RER and the Subway to get around. If you don't want to pay for the international phone service you can download the offline map to your phone ahead of time so it will still work even without cellular data. (A good idea anyway since sometimes the service is non-existent when you are deep underground.)

Buy the weekly Navigo Pass. I think you said you are arriving on a Monday which is perfect because the weekly Navigo Pass runs Mon-Sun. (There are other more expensive "tourist" passes- the Navigo is much cheaper)

Thank you for this information! Yes I plan to buy the Navigo weekly pass. It seems I can buy it off the phone app closer to the time when we arrive and yeah we land early on Monday morning (8:15 AM) on June 30th. That seems to be the best deal for their public transportation.

I will have to google the Crazy Horse Paris Show. Is that a popular event? I'm going to check google now to see.

Thank you!

Thank you!

Its a cabaret show. Similar to The Moulin Rouge (but a bit more risque from what I read) My wife and I enjoyed it.

Yes just buy the pass on arrival on your phone. You can't buy it until its actually the week you want to use it. Then just add the pass to your Apple Wallet and you can scan in and out of the train systems using your phone. (Just don't end up with a dead battery at the end of the day or you will not have your pass!)

Awesome - thank you for the advice! I carry a portable charger with me always since we all know we can't rely on iPhones to stay charged all day. :) But yes this is a great point! If the phone battery dies then no train usage due to no pass! Do they have Uber in Paris (asking just in case!). Thank you!
