I have a 2008 Pono Kai Christmas week that I won't be using. I booked that week to hopefully get some trading power. I have used RCI in the past but haven't been overly thrilled. Any suggestions for an alternate exchange company that would be most likely to give me decent trading power for a future Hawaii exchange? I likely won't be using the exchange for a couple of years:annoyed: . I feel kind of lost on this one.......

Thanks!

I've had great luck using SFX. I've gotten trades in Hawaii, Scotland, and Las Vegas though them. Usually I've had a choice of weeks and resorts when they call me. I request very early and I'm fairly general in my request, such as "Kona in May or June". Take a look at www.sfx-resorts.com. Gold membership is free.

They also are offering bonus weeks with deposits, but I'm not sure how long that promotion will be continuing.

I'd give it to Trading Places, International if you want to go to Hawaii. They have a lot of weeks there. www.tradingplaces.com If your "use week" is Dec. 2008 you'll need to complete your exchange sometime in Dec. 2010.

www.sfx-resorts.com have a fair amount of HI weeks too but not as many as TPI, AFAIK. Oh, both will give a bonus week for early deposits.

Hawaii Timeshare Exchange is great for Hawaii exchanges and you can view what they have online as well as doing an ongoing request. I like HTSE because they are very small and you talk to the same 3 or 4 people every time. They don't get the top dogs like Starwood and Marriot, but the have a dependable supply of the middle resorts (like Pono Kai and our Kauai Beach Villas.)

To check out HTSE go to their website and put 9999 in the top box and HTSE in the bottom box to log in as a guest.
