Hi, we are going to Cabo for the first time and have traded (RCI) into the Pueblo Bonito Resort for the week of Jan.17-24. Any advice about good studio unit to request? We are a couple of seniors who like quiet, and great ocean views, and windows that open, and balconies! Hope some of you know the resort layout and can advise!!! Any other advice is welcome too! Thanks, leonore

As long as you're not on the first floor you should have a pretty good view at this property. The resort has an email address, I would send them a note and let them know you'd like a high floor away from the flamingos (they can be a little noisy).

Thanks for the good advice! I read that the side of the resort that faces the PBRose next door can be noisy with music at night, but I did not know about the flamingos...MANY thanks, Leonore

Does Blanco have Flamingos?? I thought it was just Rose. Check out the room and if you don't like it, just request another one. PB Resorts are very accomodating, I own at PB Resorts and have traveled to Cabo for many years and mostly stay at PB resorts.

All the balconies at the Blanco face into the Blanco pool area. I think just the corridors with the front doors into the units would be on the Rose side. As far as I know, there isn't any loud music playing at the Rose at night or any other time. They have opened a bar area near the steps to the beach but our unit at the Rose is on the fourth floor very near that area and we were never bothered by any noise.

The front desk folks at the Blanco are very accomodating and you could just ask them what units are available when you check in. Ask to see each one and pick the one you like best.

The Blanco does have flamingos. They are on the right side among some foliage as you exit the lobby facing the beach.

Thanks everyone!

This is very helpful and reassuring! Can't wait! Now about day trips...any advice on whether to spend a day going to Todos, and if so, whether the bus is good, or should we rent a car for the day?? If so, which rental agency? thanks, leonore

I've never been too impressed with Todos Santos, but I've gone only in August and not a lot was open. I think you might be just as happy to spend an afternoon in San Jose del Cabo and it wouldn't take as long to get there.

You could take a local bus--ask the concierge for information about where to catch it and where to get off--or you could rent a car for a day. Personally, I'd rather have a car so that I could stop whenever and wherever I wanted to. There's a car rental desk in the Pueblo Bonito Rose lobby right next to the Blanco--there may be such a desk inside the Blanco lobby, but I can't remember for sure. You would find more shops and restaurant choices in San Jose than Todos Santos.
