1) Is there a vacation destination you wish to visit most of the time or on a regular basis? if so where? Various destinations throughout the intermountain west (CA, WA, OR, ID, MT, AZ, NM, CO, and UT). We live in Salt Lake and have a large family so will mostly go places we can drive to.

2) Do you want to visit your home resort at least half the time, or do you want to trade more than half the time? Trade more than half the time to be able to visit lots of different places.

3) What are your 5 top trade destinations? Utah (Park City, Moab); CO (Breckenridge/Vail/Aspen/Telluride); WA, OR, CA

4) How many people do you usually travel with - total, including yourself? 8

5) Can you travel any time, or are you locked into the school schedule? Locked into school schedules

6) Can you make firm plans 12 or more mos. in advance? Yes

7) Can you vacation for a full week at a time? Yes

8) What level of accommodations do you prefer on a scale of 1 to 5 stars? 3-5 (we’ve never actually ever stayed in a 5 star accommodation, but I feel confident we would enjoy it:))

9) How much can you afford to spend upfront, without financing? $3,000

10) How much can you afford to spend every year for a maintenance fee that will come due right after Christmas, and increase each year? $3-4k

11) Are you a detail oriented planner? I can be, though for vacations I prefer not to have every day/minute planned out

12) Do you understand that once you buy a timeshare, it may be very difficult to sell or give away, and you are responsible for all fees, until you do? Yes

Take a look at Worldmark. No Home Resort. With 8 people you will need a 3 bedroom. You can pick up a Worldmark Resell Account for as little as 10 cents per Credit or less and the $399 Transfer fee. Checkout www.wmowners.com/forum. Buying resell you would have access to the 90+ Worldmark Resorts (most west of the Mississippi), Bonus Time, Monday Madness, and Inventory Specials. You can borrow 1 year in advance for no cost. Also Credits are good for Booking about 25 months. For example Credits deposited in your Account (assuming Annivery Date is May 1) on May 1, 2025 can be used for a Booking until May 31 2027. Then because you can Book 13 months in advance that Booking can start as late as June 30, 2028. For 7 days or longer you can Book 13 months in advance. You should look at acquiring 20,000 to 30,000 Credits. With a 20,000 Credit Account you would also receive 2 House Keeping Tokens and 2 Guest Certificates. With a 30,000 Account you would receive 3 Housekeeping Tokens and 3 Guest Certificates. House Keeping Tokens rollover like Credits. Guest Certificates do not rollover.

I agree. Worldmark is probably the best fit given the geography of where they live and want to visit.

WorldMark is the only timeshare with a resort in Moab, UT. It is very popular -- year-round. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Also other UT resorts in Park City, Eden, Bear Lake, and Midway.

Nearby resorts are West Yellowstone and St. George.

WorldMark is a points system, so there are no extra exchange fees to use the various resorts in the system.

Sounds like a WM. You are going to need two 2 bedroom or 1 3 bedroom at least with I’ll share some of the intel I was putting together for my own ski trips.

If you want ski resorts WM has a pretty good covering but not complete. WM checks your locations but not Breck/Vail, Aspen, or Telluride. WM has Steamboat as the primary ski location in CO and I think Pagosa and Granby have nearby ski resorts as well.

Other ski areas for WM include Tahoe, 7th mountain resort (mt bachelor), Leavenworth (Stevens pass), Mission Ridge), Taos, Big Bear, McCall (Brundageand Tamaarack), thr Utah properties. Arrowpoint (Silver mountain and lookout pass), Pinetop (near Sunriise Park)
There are some other resorts too near smaller ski resorts such as the Klamath Falls property. There’s probably even some more that I can think of and the Canada resorts which may be out of your driving
