What is the deal with Vistana's website? It's constantly timing out while doing a search for next summer.

I am so sick of the website problems. I was able to book one week, went in to book a second week, and contantly get this message:

I paid my MF’s online today around noontime and it was very slow to load. I assumed it was others waiting to pay last minute like me clogging up the site access, but who knows?
 
I have now been on hold for 1 hour, 40 minutes.

I originally was supposed to get a call back, but when I answered the call, they disconnected me. It rang twice.
 
I was recently at an update (aka sales meeting) at Desert Willow. They asked at the end of the meeting about any concerns or questions. I said YES, answer the darn phone! Why would anyone want to purchase more with all the problems with the website and never enough employees to answer the phone? Especially during important dates like banking, etc. This has cost me as well as many other members! When are they going to get their act together???

Agree, website would not work this afternoon and calls were not answered. Something is terribly wrong, very difficult to use our investment.

Same for me.......I called and complained........supervisor to call me back......going to try to work out some comp for wasted time.....
 
Every day is an exciting one on the Vistana web site. Having received a number of emails over the past month reminding me that our deadline for Abound election of 9/30 is approaching I logged in today to have a play around and decide if I was going to 'pull the trigger'. While I was doing that I got a pop-up reminding me that our deadline for election is 10/31. Either the system is flakey (surely not! :D ) or they have extended our deadline (probably not!).

The deadline is generic to 80% of the ownership base. It was said in the past that Chairman's was the top 5% and Presidentail the next 15%. It is easier to program a single popup alert than try thd target it, or at least that is how MVC does things.
 
The really annoying thing about the pop-up there is no option to close it, or a "don't show me again" link, and if you look at multiple pages, it keeps popping up over and over again. Really sloppy work!
 
It will go away in a couple days...

Astonishing I know but I logged in again tonight and got a pop-up now telling me our deadline was 9/30 :D Good job my flakey radar was working earlier. I pulled the trigger and converted our 2024 WKORVN and WLG to Abound and was surprised and delighted to see the Abound points actually showed up in our account!
 
Calling in is crazy. We are borrowing SO's so needed to call in to reserve for Feb. Waits were over an hr early morning, so we decided on the call back. It never happened. Next morning we were on hold for 1 hr and a half and finally got through. They said it was due to the Sept 30 deadline and the Maui fires both happening at the same time. We had agreed to the survey at the end but when the comment question came up they disconnected me, lol. Guess they didn't actually want my feedback!

Did you use the number in the sticky post at the top of this board? I've never had a wait of more than 2 minutes when I've used that, once to call to do a cancellation/pay 2024 MFs/borrow SO/make a reservation all in one go and the 2nd time just after the Maui fires to sort out our situation with respect to that.

Wow, how did I miss that information. Thank you so much. Next time I will try those numbers. We will need to book for the summer 8 months out so I will let you know how it works
