What is Interval's "Gold Key Resort" designation intended to represent?

Some resorts a 5 Star and others are 5 Star + Gold Key.

I did not know where to post this questions so I thought this place was as good any.

Ideas?

I haven't heard of "gold key." Where did you see this?

Never heard of that either. Is it in the written directory or online?

Saw it in the Directory.

It appears in the directory directly beneath the 5Star symbol of some resorts. I'm sorry, I don't have a copy of the directory handy so I can't refer you to a page.

Its just the managment company for a group of T/Ss in Va. Beach that were developed by the same people. Much the same as "A Royal Resort" for the Royals in Cancun.

Thanks for clearing that up!

I did not see the "A Royal Resort" descriptor, but I will now understand what it means when I see it.
