You have probably heard about HTML 5, but you probably don't know why it is so important. Most people think it is all about video, but that is just part of its potential. HTML 5 could stop the Web's slide into what ExtremeTech's David Cardinal calls a "fractured Humpty-Dumpty of plug-ins, protocols, codecs, incompatible browsers, and platforms."
