If we buy a HGVC resale deed, would those points be added to our current bucket of points or would they be separate? From what I can tell, the resale wouldn’t be part of the total points for an higher max status (which aren't great away). Our current retail deed is The Boulevard in Vegas and we have Max.

Thanks!

Yes. Your tier would not go up but the points would be in the same bucket to use in HGVC or Max.

Are you on the HGVC side (deeded property) or the Club or HVC side (trust points)? That will make a difference.

Pretty sure HGVC side.
You will know that you are on the HGVC if you own a particular deed on HGVC (like MFs are due to resort ???). If you own on HGVC side then @HuskerATL post is correct.

HGV has made this so confusing (IMO on purpose) because HGV Max doesn't tell us what club you are actually in. They make is sound that is all one club (one happy family) but it isn't. It is probably 4-5 different clubs (HGVC, HC, Embarc, HVC/DRI, and now BG)

Definitely have MFs due and got the spiel at the last owners update that deeds going away and this is the last time I’ll be able to buy them blah blah blah. Now to start looking for a good resale to add

Yes, that is a standard lie from salespersons to HGVC owners. If deeds went away, that would wipe out the HGVC club.
