What form of payment should I ask for when selling my timeshare. Thanks.

Ive heard of not accepting certain types of money forms. Everthing is under 2k. what are safe monies to ask for.

And a dumb question. If they pay me money up front, is that called escrow?

Im confused if they wont give me money up front and then i get paperwork rolling and they back out, ...is there a form to cover myself? thanks
