I was gonna transfer them over to Wyndham rewards points, but you have to do that in advance. I have about 100k points that we are not using (we had a weekend in PC for my son but he had to cancel) before the use year ends in sept. We may try to do a weekend getaway but probably still will not use all the points.

If you use year ends on 9/30 then unless you are VIPP or higher, you can no longer transfer the points to a future use year within Wyndham. The remaining options you would have would be to move the points into RCI, rent the remaining points (not really recommended these days for various reasons) assuming you can find someone who wants inventory that is available before 9/30, or donate the points to the veterans program that Wyndham offers.

We are VIP Silver so I guess we will just try and use them or donate them. Thanks!!

Another option, if you have any friends and family that want to take a last minute vacation before 9/30 (up to you if you just gift your points or charge them your points cost or make bit of money off of the points), just make sure you review GC restrictions prior to doing so:

even the donation to the Veteran's program requires 3 months in advance to the end of your use year.

Move them to RCI or give a vacation to a friend or family member.

RCI is a good option. It's about the only option I have for my leftover points for 2022.

Yup. You may still deposit your unused points into RCI, up until the last day of your current use year.

Well, I learned something new today LOL. Seems to me that's somewhat of a limiting factor for at least some of us as I'm likely not going to decide very far in advance whether I'm going to donate points or not.

If you can bank your points forward to next use year then do so and - at the same time - convert an equal number of points from your next use year to Wyndham rewards. Same effect.

The best RCI inventory is the Hilton Hawaii properties on the big Island if you are look for a good RCI deal.

I am not interested in having you transfer your points to my account. But I can still give you advice on how to best use your points by making a reservation yourself.

It was a great way to make use of extra points while it lasted.

RCI is a good way to try other resorts outside of the Wyndham system. There is a transaction fee but during the off season months points needed to book a Wyndham resort are ussually about 1/2 of points needed to book using Wyndham

I'd like to use my remaining 51K points for one night stays at a Wyndham resort traveling to/from family over Christmas. I have an older inherited Club Wyndham Plus contract with developer points. Problem I'm running into is that I'm being forced to book 3 nights over Christmas. I have just enough points for that, but that only gives me a stop one way, wasting 2 days, with not enough points for a stay on the return trip. I'm looking for the rules for Club Wyndham Plus members on Wyndham's website, but not seeing them. On the website I'm only seeing other contracts, like Club Wyndham Select or Access. Checking a couple resorts now with under 14 days out I STILL have to have a 2-night minimum. I thought under 14 days I could do 1-night. Did Wyndham change my contract, or what?

Wyndham eliminated 1-night stays for everyone during the first year of COVID and hasn’t brought them back. You can book 2 nights during the Express window inside 3 months from check-in.

EDIT: And Wyndham’s documentation of the elimination of 1-night stays is almost nonexistent, which they could easily rectify but haven’t.

It wasn't a contractual right so they didn't need to change your contract. It was a club rule that changed and as a member of the club the change applied to you. At 3 months/90 days it should allow a 2 night reservation.

If you park the points in RCI, you'll have 3 years (I believe) to use them. I think the cost is still $39 to move them. One hundred thousand points has a lot of value.

I wanted to clarify my comment. I wanted to say that me and my extended network of friends and families often have a need for more Wyndham points. So you can help us make a reservation if you have extra points to use.

It may take a transaction fee to put them in rci but all transaction fees are waived for the rest of 22 so that won't apply this year and wouldn't apply if you have transaction fees left. Your points expire 2 years from the day you transfer them into rci.

company will buy your unused points based on your vip level. coastalgrandvacations dot com
companies like that thrived before the last 2 wyndham changes but I doubt they can do much for you that you can't do yourself. Expiring points, non vip eligible points, points without housekeeping and/or remaining guest certs would all be a challenge and you have to trust someone to have access to your account and understand the owner priority provisions. It looks like they pay you after the book something and rent it out minus their commission. If you book something yourself and lower the price to what you would get from them which is probably below your cost but more than nothing you could find a renter through the TUG last minute rentals sections by doing the work yourself but not giving up control of your account.
