Bass Pro is used to recruit people for a vacation package, pretending they've won it as a prize. Many BG resorts are well placed in the midscale section of the chart. I bet they will not be renewing their partnership with Choice Hotels, in favor of Hilton Honors.

Hilton Vacation Club. HGV has too much brand splintering as it is. Better to keep it simple. They will bring certain resorts up to Hilton standard (like they are with Diamond) and leave some others without the brand (like they are doing with other Diamond properties). I suspect some properties are already t a certain brand level, they just need to bring in the brand level accompaniments (like bedding and towels).

I don’t think BG can be integrated with HVC. I think that it will be separate system. I guess they could use the same name because that is what they did with Embarc.

Confusion truly is a feature and not a bug when it comes to them naming something.

Speaking of naming and classifying, it will be interesting how @TUGBrian sorts this out once all is official and the merging has happened. If HVC BG remains listed as a subgroup, a bunch of people will be going to HVC or HGVC groups before they ever find the subgroup.

With all the mergers and acquisitions going on, I do not anticipate another system stepping in to replace it on the subgroup list should it be promoted. I have enjoyed the VV subgroup that was the most recent one added, but I feel it was somewhat of a stretch.

I don't see why it couldn't, just as they are doing with Embarc. It will lead to more confusion, or more confusion than there already is. Perhaps they will change the name to "BG by HGV". Dropping the whole name spelled out in favor of just the initials.

Looking at the chart, I am wondering which properties are part of Hilton Club?

It's primarily the four NYC properties, District in DC, Liberty Place Charleston and the top floors of the Elara. I think there are some Japanese properties that are also Hilton Club but I'm not familiar with those. I believe La Pacifica is also a Hilton Club.
