Hilton
I'm confused. I see Marriot points, HGVC points, RCI points. are they the same? Or can only use between those entities?? Thanks

Good question! I have 2950 Hyatt points, still not sure what that can get me

Each system has their own point system, so no, you cannot use them between the different systems.

well, does anyone know how much each buys?
Like if there is a one bedroom in say, Las Vegas, how many points for RCI, Marriot, Hilton, to get one??

When you used singular for "a one bedroom in say, Las Vegas", you appear to be thinking that it is one resort with various ways, RCI, Marriott, Hilton, to book that room. This is entirely wrong. IF Marriott has a property in Las Vegas, which they do, it is Marriott's Grand Chateau, you need to either own a week there, or somewhere else to trade into that resort via a 3rd party exchange company, Interval International, or MVC Abound/Destination Club points and the number of points vary by time of year and you book using their internal system. Then there are different inventory pools.

If Hilton has a resort in Las Vegas, which they have at least 2, the same analogy applies.

RCI is a third party exchange company and you can use a week or RCI points to exchange into a Las Vegas property that is available in their system.

lol, it's quite complicated!! I guess you have to pick a hotel system you like and stick with it!!

Very different in each system. Each makes up their own currency, so one point in a given system is not the same as one point in another system.

And even within just one given system, a 2 bedroom in one resort might cost a lot more points than a 2 bedroom in another resort. Or even within the same resort, a 2 bedroom during one part of the year might cost a lot more points than a 2 bedroom during another part of the year.

Agreed, and not only does the time of year make a difference, the classification of the room (standard, plus, premier, etc.) can make a big difference. Take HGVC's Elara in Las Vegas for an example: a 2BR for a week can cost anywhere from from 9,280 to 23,040 points, depending on the season the room classifications, but they are all 2BR units.
