What are Premium Points?

Just noticed this on the bottom of a reservation but never heard of Premium Points?

If Premium Points were applied to your reservation:
  • Cancellations made 61 days or more prior to the arrival date, the points will be returned in a holding account
  • Cancellations made 60 days or less prior to the arrival date, the points will be forfeited.
 
They are additional points required to make a reservation at the owner loyalty level (less than 4000 DC points). If you want to make a 7+ night reservation at 13 months out at that level you have to pay additional points. Those additional points are called premium points.
