Westin St. John's Resales

I have been looking at resales at this resort but have never stayed. We fell in love with St.Thomas and St.John's during several cruise stops over the years.
My question is about where to buy. The three bedroom pool villas look outstanding but the three bedroom Bay Vista look wonderful as well. I understand star options come with the Virgin Grand unit and not with the Bay Visit unit.
Being a member of II there is the opportunity to trade. What is the advantage of having staroptions?
Is there a recommended place to look for resale units? Any other tips or information I should be aware of?
Well versed in DVC and Orlando timeshares but this is new water.

Read the WSJ tread, it covers everything WSJ...

I own two contiguous weeks in a pool villa and would not think of owning in the 3 newer phases because I like the privacy and the fixed week aspect. Others like being in the resort and the floating weeks. It's a personal decision.

Theoretically being able to exchange into WSJ via II is a nice thought. Will it happen? Probably not, but weird things happen. :hysterical:
