We've gone to Westin Mission Hills Villas for years and always enjoyed walking over to the Resort and Spa to take advantage of the restaurants and amenities on the hotel side. A few years back, I understand investors purchased the hotel and made the decision to remain completely separate from the Villas--they even put barricades on the walkway to the hotel that said Villas visitors were not allowed. They wouldn't allow villas guests to put restaurant and shop purchases on room charges. Now I'm hearing that the investors may have sold the hotel property back to Marriott and Villas guests will once again have access to the hotel side. Can anyone confirm?

I doubt very much. The sale was done in 2019, and here is the news for major renovation and renaming of the hotel.

I have not heard of any sale and Marriott International isn't in the business of buying hotel properties. They simply manage them and I beleive Marriott still manages the hotel even though it is owned by a separate company (most of their properties are like this). As far as I know, access to the hotel by guests at The Westin Mission Hills Villas is still restricted.
