We (family of 4) are headed to WMH in June. Please advise on the following:
worst building to get in: building 38
best buildings to get in: 42-48 second floor
have any buildings been recently renovated?
best restaurants (need to be kid friendly): Las Casualas, Ruby's Diner
any early bird specials? best pizza?
hiking: trails via PS tram, Tahquitz Canyon, Joshua tree
cost to use driving range at the Westin Hotel if you do not bring your clubs?
Any other thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks!

We've gone quite a few times with my kids (age 3 and 5)
I would recommend:
Zoo of the Living Desert
Discovery Children's Museum
Soak City water park ** this was their favorite
IMAX
Ariel Tramway
Palm Springs Air Museum
lots of pool time (since it's hot!)
My kids also enjoyed the kids center at the Marriott Desert Springs Villas where we were staying.

You'll have a blast!

Swainj.

Lots of restaurants to choose from. Also, some great (and economical) take outs.
You can start here: It is the on-line version of The Desert Guide. Much of what you want is in Palm Desert, just moments from Mission Hills. http://palmsprings.thegeoguide.com/browse/Restaurants+and+Bars/Restaurants///Palm+Desert/
you can also view menus and prices.
The site also has a Calendar of Events you can select by date range. Editors Picks are generally winners.

Have a great time.
