WLR (Cancun) 2bd (odd year)
WKR (Scottsdale) 1bd Premium X 2 (both even)
Westin Flex annual
And that’s it, no more. Definitely done!
In the owners resource there is a site map of the Westin Lagunamar Resort. Is there a map available of the Lagunamar Resort which includes room numbers simular to the maps with room numbers of the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resorts.

There may be - but I don't have a copy of it. If someone has one, I'd be glad to post it.

Don't know of a map with unit numbers.

If you look at this map in the Starwood Owner Resources sticky which you reference, you can see the building numbers:

http://www.tugbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?p=710819#post710819

The deed numbering sequence is:

First 2 numbers = Building

Third number = Floor (1-8)

Fourth number = Unit.

So, deeded 0433-34 is Building 4, 3rd Floor, Lockoff Units 3 and 4. Or, Unit 686 for location is Building 6, Floor 8, Unit 6.

My best recollection is that there are 8 units per floor in all buildings. Last February, construction at Buildings 10-14 was at a standstill. As far as I know they are not open yet and will not be open later this year.

2 tips: The balconies for the units on Floor 8 are open to the stars (and rain :( ). Building 9 looks like it has a great view of the beach. I have had Building 9, 1st Floor and didn't like the view. It was beach view only and I found it boring. Don't know about Building 1 high (to see over the Mayan Temple). I like high in Building 5 or 6 much better. More going on with the view and you can still see the beach. Hope this helps.

BTW, II traders get no preference on rooms. Preferences are for Lagunamar owners and SVN traders. ... eom

We just returned from there, we were in room 252, building 2, 5th floor, room 2. Our room was almost at the end of the hall. So I guess the rooms would start high # first then down. Great views from almost all rooms. As Jarta said just looking at the beach is boring, some rooms are better than others. We had a fantastic view of the main pool and the beach and ocean looking south.

If you are thinking of going. Do it. This place is spectacular!! Very laid back and easy going. And since we already did our owners thing this spring, we weren't bothered by anyone. Got a nice Westin beach bag and enjoyed 20% off our meals at the resort for being Starwood owners. We ate at the breakfast buffet every other morning, and had 3 dinners at Oceana. (the Sea Bass is excellant) and whatever we ordered to snack on thru the day. I wish other resorts would do this for the meals, it really adds up.

The new beach looks great, and they were adding more palapias.

AND.... the pools were HHHHOOTTTT!!!! No heater required now. The favorite pasttime was hanging out at the edge of the pool. During the afternoon, the kids would get a vollyball game going and we would sit there and watch them sweat and one day some of the fathers thought they were in good enough shape to play, until one came down and twisted his knee and tore some ligaments, game over for him. Spent the rest of the week hobbiling around and being pushed in a wheelchair. (He was going to wait to get back to New York to have it formally looked at ?? :ponder: hum, wonder why. ) That's what too much Corona can do.

This is definately my new favorite place. So close and easy to get to the beach. Plus the Cancun airport is so much nicer than the PV airport. Like night and day. 30 minutes to get thru customs and our cab was right there waiting. Everything went so smooth.

Sorry to ramble, if you are thinking of going, don't worry about the rooms, by the time you get back into your room, the sun's gone down and its dark anyway.

Thanks for the responses. We stayed in building 1, 6th floor last Jan and had a great view of ocean over the ruins. However, they originally tried to put us in a room I believe was in building 2 (as our building 1 room wasn't ready)
The room in building 2 which we were given actually did not overlook the pool side of the resort but overlooked the parking lot and the walkway hallway side of buiding 2 out toward the ocean. Our view was primarily of the side of building 2, the complex next door and then some of the ocean. It has to be the worst location room wise one could be assigned.
My point to this post was that I would want to avoid this location in the future and I didn't have a record of this room location as we only in it for an hour. I wouldn't want to be stuck with it for a week.
It's a great resort and 99.9% of the rooms have fantasic views. We own eoy 1 bedrm but it appears it can be traded for the full 2 bedrm lockoff thru II fairly often so we're happy.

I think that would be bldg. 3. Bldg. 2 all rooms faced the main pool, the walkway looked at the parking lot and lot to the north. I would say Bldgs. 1,2,8,9 are probably the best to be closest to the beach. Bldg 5 - high floor would be a good view of the pools, and the ocean, (farthest away) straight view though. I'm sure others who've been there more than once (Clsmt) (Jarta) etc. could also confirm. Right now, with the construction, 1&2 would be the best. No noise at all. That is very interesting to know also out the decent trade. I have decided that I am going to have to take my daughters since it was so wonderful.
