Can someone confirm for me the maintenance fees for a 1 bedroom premium platinum that comes with 81K StarOptions? Also, are the fees always HALF if you buy an every other year? Also, what are the going rates for these units?

I am NOT interested in anything other then the 1 bedroom premium platinum that comes with 81K StarOptions.

I was told today:

That INCLUSIVE of taxes, the 1 bdrm plat premium MF's are $900 and that if you own a biannual than you just pay half every year or the whole amount on the year you own (so 450 in this case).

So, I guess my two questions are:

1. To confirm that $900 each year is the correct figure, and 450 each year is the correct figure for an EOY unit.

2. What is the going price for an EY and for an EOY unit?

Thanks to anyone who can guide me.

Mark

WKV - MF and Price Est.

Based on the total MF for a 2BR Platinum, I would estimate the annual MF for the Premium Plat. (81k SO) at $666 + $99 SVN membership = $765. For EOY, not sure if it is paid in 2 installments or only in the year of use.

I'd estimate pricing for the EY Premium Plat. unit (81k SOs) at $13,000 or slightly higher? There have been some listings on Smart Choice for $13,500 to $14,000 in the last 6 months but there could possibly be some resale price appreciation here (e.g. recent 2BR Plat. ebay auction). BTW, Smart Choice is a great reseller.

I think DavidnRobin (great poster) bought one of these last year, and may have a better idea of price.

I think you would be very pleased with the Westin Kierland and the 81k will give you the option for a Premium unit in Maui (for example). I'd would recommend an EY as a first time purchase since you will likely have a great experience and want at least one SVO vacation per year. This will save you the hassle of buying a second unit/EOY later!! ;)

Mark - I would add that you should get the deeded unit number from the seller to confirm (with SVO/SVN, WKV) what size unit is being sold. The 2007 MFs/Taxes are what I wrote (to the penny) - they do not differ based on the season - only the unit type (of which there are two of them) determine what the MFs/Taxes are.

They could be rising - or could be a blip.
