We will be staying at this resort in two months. Would like to get recommendations from fellow Tuggers on best buildings for room requests. We would like to be near pool areas and also have close access to grills. Does anyone have a link to a resort map? Are there elevators at this resort?

Thanks in advance for the help.

There is a resort map at the top of the forum > Starwood Owner Resources > scroll down to Resort Maps > Westin Kierland Villas.

If this is a II trade, please note that Starwood does not accept advance requests from exchangers, but you can certainly ask at check-in.

Canada eh!
There are grills outside of every building. We liked Building 6 with the golf course view. Beautiful sunsets and very peaceful. It is not as close to the pools but it is an easy walk to the pools from any building.

We had exchanged in to Westin Kierland a couple of years ago and requested upon check in, close to the pool as we had kids with us. We ended up in bldg 7. Clearly that request was ignored. We did discover that the pool was not really that far away. We had a great golfcourse view from the top floor. There are elevators making hauling luggage or groceries very simple.

Is there parking in front of buildings 3 & 5? I can't really tell from the resort map?

I don't think so - I believe the pool area is on one side and the golf course on the other.

It's not a large resort, so even though you can't park directly in front of all buildings it's not more than a few minute walk.

I wouldn't worry about where you stay. The resort is very small. It took me less time to walk across the time share area then it did to walk through the hotel lobby to get to the pool on the hotel side.

There are some covered parking spots and some uncovered spots. I found the covered spots filled up first, whether or not they were next to the building the people were in, just because everyone wanted to keep their car cool.

WKV was as close to a perfect time share vacation as I've gotten. When I visited, I stayed in building 5 on the top floor. I loved it! I loved watching the sky turn pink and salmon over a gorgeous golf course, complete with a family of baby ducklings, and the rugged, mountain views in the background. Ahhhhh....
