I know that Presidents week would be extremely difficult to trade into at 8 months out, but what can I expect for the week before Presidents week (2/6/09 or 2/7/09). I would like to book a flight with FF Miles at 11 months out with confidence that I will be able to book one of the Westin Maui properties at 8 months (I own at WKV). I would be looking for a 2 bedroom. Any thoughts?

you should have little problem getting in the week b4 Pres. week. In fact you may get lucky and get in Pres. week if you call first thing in the morning 8 mos out. You never know.

How difficult is it to get President's Week as compared to other high demand weeks?

I don't think President's day week is as popular as the holidays when kids are out of school for a full week. (Christmas, New Years, Easter, & Summer Vacation.) Also, since different school districts are closed for different days for President's Day, there isn't one single day that everyone has off. When I visit Maui, the largest group of visitors seems to be from CA, and most CA schools do not have a full week off for President's Day.

Thanks Denise. Nice to know. My kids do have all of Predient's Week off, so nice to know that I would have a good shot at getting that week (if I buy there).
