Is this oceanfront deluxe/corner at the south villas? If so, it's not a mistake and not a special assessment. I think it that number possibly includes the Abound Club Dues and as a new resale buyer you might pay a VSN fee which would be a maybe $100 lower.
Marriott increased many resorts at 15%+ this past year and 10%+ the prior year, using inflation as the culprit. I'm still upset about it because we own with Disney too and those MF increases were
much, much, much more reasonable for resorts in the same county and even nextdoor to some Marriott resorts. It begs the question, how and why did this happen at Marriott/Vistana?
The corner oceanfront units are larger and have MFs higher than the other units. The center oceanfront units are smaller and have MFs like most of the OV and IV units (about $1000 less) but will likely cost you more upfront. Whether any oceanfront unit is worth 3x more than an oceanview unit is a matter of debate. But the supply of the OF units is limited and buyers/owners could justify the premium in the past. Your guess is as good as mine about the future.
