We are heading to Westin Cabo in January. A few questions:

1) will there be any room cleaning/tidy included? If so what can we expect? We are staying for 6 nights. When I sent in our room preferences below is what they responded on their auto mailer:

To request additional housekeeping services, please contact us prior to your stay. Current prices listed for additional housekeeping services below are per day and will be posted directly to your room bill.

Tidy Clean
  • Guestroom service: MXN $285
  • Two-bedroom service: MXN $285
  • Three-bedroom service: MXN $570
  • Four-bedroom service: MXN $760
Full Clean
  • Guestroom service: MXN $665
  • Two-bedroom service: MXN $855
  • Three-bedroom service: MXN $1,425
  • Four-bedroom service: MXN $2,090
Towel/Trash
  • Guestroom service: MXN $190
  • Two-bedroom service: MXN $190
  • Three-bedroom service: MXN $285
  • Four-bedroom service: MXN $380

Also best 1 way transfer to resort from Airport? We want a grocery stop.

We will be transferring from Westin to the Waldorf Pedregal in CSL for a few nights. Uber best?

Best restaurants on-site or nearby? Not to be missed food on/around Westin? (we've been to Cabo many times but first time here.)

I believe you get a mid-week tidy only if you are staying seven or more nights. I don’t think you’ll get one if you're only staying six nights.

Do a title search with the word Cabos - there are many threads on here about the resort.

From what I've read, the onsite restaurant El Ciruelo isn't bad and Carbon Cabron across the street about 5 minutes away is quite good. I've also heard good things about Flora Farms (now located at the farm instead of in town). I can also tell you that many people like Mexican night at the resort (Wednesday) and say that the Thursday evenings Art Walk in San Jose del Cabo is not to be missed (and offers some great street food stalls).

But to piggy back off of your thread, does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants in San Jose del Cabo? We're headed to the Westin the winter as well and most of the recommendations I've read are for Cabos San Lucas - Lighthouse, Sunset y Mona Lisa, Edith's, Romeo y Julieta, Da Vinci’s, and Picaro.

Based on the recommendations I read here on TUG we chose Cabo Lindo Transport. I know they do one way and offer a grocery stop.

@ljmiii Thanks for the Westin restaurant recos. We've been to Flora Farms. It is quite good but quite a distance from town.

Welk
Best / most elevated tacos Los Cabos can be found at La Lupita. Two locations, in SJDC and Cabo San Lucas. Not the cheapest, but reasonable -- both selection and drinks are outstanding.

In San Jose del Cabo, we like Lateral Cruel y Asado behind La Comer for tacos, Santo Pulpo for seafood, Kitchen Table Sanjo a bit more upscale, and for something really outstanding Monte Cardon in East Cape. You'll need a car for the last and will have to make a reservation in advance - they also do cooking classes, which are worth the effort of getting to.

Flora Farms is okay but we've been a bit disappointed the last few trips and wouldn't have it at the top of our list. There are more worth trying.

If you're down there between 1/18 and 2/15, reach out and let me know. Always happy meeting fellow huggers and sharing recommendations. We're down in that area frequently.
