We are heading to Myrtle Beach Sunday (9/20/2007) and we will be staying somewhere at the Westgate. Looking online, I see this is a new property for Westgate and that it formerly was a Holiday Inn Oceanfront Resort. Also from the web: Westgate owners can rent the hotel rooms at this time. The Timeshare units will not be available for exchange until June of 2006. Update: This resort is currently named Holiday Inn Oceanfront Resort in Myrtle Beach, however, the Timeshare portion is building 3 which has been renamed Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort. The hotel portion will remain as it is for now.

This is fairly old news, so what is the situation now there? This is a promo through backtothecaribbean.com and so we don't get to stay in condos but rather hotel rooms. So, I assume we will be in the hotel portion. Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect? We have to attend a TS presentation and I also wondered how pushy this company is.

Thank you for whatever anyone can give me for information about this resort. It's supposed to be oceanfront--is there any possibility at that hotel that we might get ocean front? That would be way kewel!
