That is a huge special assessment. I worry that Marriott is going to do the same thing to Sheratons. That would be a killer for me. I would have to deedback a bunch, which I am thinking of doing anyway.

Correct, it's fake. Special assessments are not communicated by letters like that.

It even appears that the $$ amount range of the assessment is exactly the same as the Hyatt /welk resorts letter. C’mon these scammers gotta do better than that!

Those posts should be reported to the FB group admin to be deleted and hopefully the person also getting the boot and a ban. I did that in the one group I am owner of.

I'm a Welk owner and received no such letter. I'm glad to hear so many people here calling this a scam!
