Would like to travel to Palm Springs as these seem to be the ones available in January 2019. Which is better? We golf so would be nice to be on a course or near. Any others you recommend? Thanks for the help!

I haven't seen the Welk resorts in Palm Springs ... but having seen their property in Escondido, and being a Worldmark owner, I'd go for the Welk property in PS. The Welk property in Escondido is lovely ... and I'd bet the same for their PS location(s)?

We stayed at the Welk in Cathedral City. They are 1 BR units. I recall that the washer/dryers were free at at the clubhouse. I believe that originally it was an apartment complex. They are nice enough. They had several activities which is a bit of a pleasant surprise for a smaller place like that. The unit that we were in was clean.

The only negatives (not big ones) - - other guests got up early and put towels on many of the chairs and lounges at the pool to "claim them" for the rest of the day. As a result, most of the lounge chairs were claimed even though there weren't a lot of people at the pool.

The units are wood frame construction so there is more "spring" than a concrete constructed building and the upper floor seemed a little bouncy. I don't recall that noises were objectionable though.

Welk Cathedral City is in a fairly quiet residential neighborhood.

Welk in PS is not even close to the standard at Escondido. We stayed there several years ago, leaky roof, wet carpet. Changed to a different room. It was not a nice resort. We have not stayed at the Worldmark in PS area but every Worldmark that we have been to, they have been pretty consistent. I would pick Worldmark over Welk in PS area. Lots of golf courses everywhere. We golf... It depends on the sort of courses that you are interested in.

We always stay at Marriott's Desert Springs in Palm Desert, followed by Westin Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage. Westin Mission Hills has daily golf clinics for a low fee, and it includes driving range use all day. We are here at Marriott's Desert Springs this week and next week we will be at Westin Mission Hills. We spend many weeks here a year.
