Weird RCI-related Phone Call

We were on the road yesterday, returning to Northern VA from Nashville when I got a strange call from someone about being able to be reimbursed for unused RCI and Wyndham points (or something like that).

We were going north on I-81, trying to compete with all the trucks on the road, and I was about to tell the caller to buzz [euphemism] off but my wife waved me off. I'm expecting a call on Monday with more information.

Sounds like pure, unadulterated BS but I guess I'm committed to at least take the call.

I'm betting that is not RCI, but rather someone who has a long list of people just chomping at the bit to rent rooms with your unused timeshare assets. You just have to pay a few dollars for some reason or another first.

How it works is you send them cash and then let your unused points expire.

They have just turned your unused points into cash.

I was thinking I could come up with about 3 ways they angle their pitch and none of them are legitimate.
