Last minute (kind of) plans are taking us to Florida in the begining of July, so we decided to hit WDW. I'm trying to exchange into a WDW timeshare, but of course this will be tough. The Marriott Grande Vista will probably be where we will be staying since they have openings. As far as transportation goes, I really don't want the expense of renting a car so does anyone know if the area has shuttles that would be a little cheaper. We will only be going to the Disney area.

Thanks,
Matt

Rent a car. You will need it unless you are staying on Disney property. Cab fare will easily cost more than a car rental.

Plus when you add in the cost of getting to the resort from the airport and back you will find the rental car quite economical. Also I don't think you would go more than a couple of days before you wished you had the car. In the summer if I am staying in Orlando I always make at least 1 trip to the ocean, usually New Symrna beach.

I think the shuttle that MGV had was $12.50 each day per person....

if you only have 2 people a rental car would be less.
