Warnings against taking Ibuprofen for coronavirus as it 'may worsen bug'

I've seen posted elsewhere that this was fake news (possible account hacking). Can't verify either way offhand.

your Condition if you are Infected with Covid-19.

Does it mean that those of us on losartan and lisinopril need to get with our doctors to switch to a different drug?
When my mom had to Switch drugs for hypertension it took awhile to find the right combination while her blood pressure was consistently high thus I would think that is a risk factor too.

Lisinopril made her body swell and she ended up having a horrible allergic reaction which caused extreme distorted face swelling as well as difficulty breathing. She had taken the drug for years.

You can talk to your doctor but if the drug is working well for you he probably won’t want to risk changing it. There is risk in almost everything including changing to a new drug.

We intend to call our PCP about the report. It is not a bad idea if there is an equivalent drug that works that is not in this class. The study showed that COVID-19 can be fatal to patients who are on this class of hypertension drugs.

Mom had to be changed to two drugs as one alone did not work. It took 2 1/2 months to find the right combination. So the question to ask am I more at risk with the virus if I take my current drug or if I start a new drug and my pressure stays high for months until we find the right combo am I more at risk? If it was me and the drug worked for me, I would not change it right now. If I got sick I would prefer to know my pressure is under control.

Omaha cardiologists say it's OK to take hypertension meds despite coronavirus-related rumors

O know looks like folks are now going to Costco, Sam Clubs, WalMart and Bj Warehouses and emptying Ibuprofen from their shelves .
