In 1978 my boyfriend at the time had this amazing album (yes, album
) that was a fantastic rock opera version of HG Wells War of the Worlds. Richard Burton did the narrating and I fell in love with the guy because of his music lol.
Well there is a new version of one of the songs Forever Autumn and while it lacks the hard rock sound of the 80's I hope it attracts a new generation. Give a watch and I hope you like it as much as I do.

PS I typed out the liner notes many years ago and teach this unit to my lower academic English classes. Over the years it seems funny to hear the kids talk of the music as being old school
Some like the retro beat and others just cringe. I tell them it is historical literature and they should know of it. I feel older every year. By the way this started out as cassette tapes (my husband would never let me take his original vinyl to school
) and my son found it in CD form a few years ago on Amazon.
