As I have posted elsewhere, I decided to post here for some clarity. If you are planning on staying at a DVC at Walt Disney World this year, let me know when you'll be here, which resort you're staying at (exceptions are Boardwalk and Yacht Club resorts - those do not have EPCOT to resort buses) and which day you plan on going to EPCOT. As long as you give me 24 hours notice, that will work. That way, I can ask my dispatcher to put me on that run. For instance, you're staying at French Quarter and you're planning on going to EPCOT on day 2. The day before, I would ask my dispatcher if he can put me on the closing shift to FQ, which means I take people from EPCOT as the park is closing (usually 8-10pm). On your EPCOT day, you go to the bus loop, and if I am on it, you'll have me as your driver! I may change schedule and/or park (which we call our "hub") in 2025, changes in 2024 would be a very very slim chance. As a side note, if you or someone will be in a wheelchair or electric scooter (ECV), or you can walk but you have a walker or cane, you get on the bus first!

I always thought the able bodied people just trampled over these others that needed special assistance so they could get on first instead?

I sense your sarcasm... But, both Audience Control (the cast members who walk around in high-viz vests around the gates) and bus drivers do our best to give priority to people in wheelchairs. What stinks is when our bus fills up, and then a person in a wheelchair arrives. They have to wait for the next bus, which is usually 15-20 minutes later. But, I am happy to strap the wheelchairs in, making sure the guest is secure for a nice smooth ride to their resort

In my experience Disney has always been really good about making sure to open the back door first and assist with those needing assistance before allowing people in through the front.

We won’t be there for a year, but I’ll definitely let you know when we get close. We’ll be at BWV, but maybe you’ll be on a different route by then!
