walking HVC reservation

i'm originally an hgvc owner, and was duped into max.

I'm trying to walk a couple reservations at dri locations at the 6 month mark. I'm not able to without canceling and rebooking completely.

I'm not sure if that is by design or a glitch. I haven't tested if it would be the same at an hgvc property.

anyone else experience this lately?

Just finished walking a ressie this morning. No issues, but there was availability all around the time period we needed. I am Legacy HGVC, though.

I’m not sure if DRI/HVC reservations can be changed like HGVC ones can.

unclear, but there is a modify reservation link/button. it just shows no current reservation and one new date of availability each day. if i wasn't Max it'd be an expensive method of walking, with a new reservation fee each day.

i've never looked, but i'm wondering, am i in the club? if i'm hgvc legacy rolled into HGVMax, is that considered being in the club?

full transparency, i've never read any of the guides that might be applicable to my ownership.

The Club are the DRI properties and since you are in HGVC, then you are exchanging into DRI via Max. I suspect that because you are exchanging from HGVC into DRI, then you can't walk a reservation. You would have to cancel and then exchange again.

Diamond and Embarc don't have the ability to "walk" in the system. You have to cancel and rebook to modify a reservation, even as members without exchanging

i talked to customer service. they said some HVC properties allow it, some don't.

to walk the reservation, you can call HGV customer service and they will do it for you, if available.

(you can also cancel/rebook yourself, with some chance of losing your existing reservation, but since this can be done at random times of the day, that seems low risk.)
