Waikiki Shell Parking

We're going to a show at the Waikiki Shell on New Year's Eve. Wondering what the best parking is around there. I have a feeling Uber will be, well, uber-expensive on New Year's Eve so I figured we'd just drive, if there is parking in nearby.

Near HHV. Worried about availability of a taxi to drive us back after the show around midnight on New Year’s Eve.

Your cab driver over is sure to have a business card to call direct for the return ride, give him a nice cash tip. NYE is a big night for cabbies, sure to be plenty working, Waikiki parties late into the early morning hours and cabs hang out there.

I no longer rent a car for HHV, parking is way too expensive, we cab or Uber everywhere, never had a problem getting one. The worst was taking Uber to Aloha stadium swap meet, had a heck of a time getting a return ride.

We’ve got a car. We have a condo near HHV. But we’ve never been to the Shell. I know the area, just not sure about the parking.

There are 2 alternative ways to get to the Shell that we have used that have not been mentioned yet. There are a number of buses from either the stop by the Grand Islander(E, 20,42)or the one by the Alure Condo(2,13) that get you within a block or so, or walking.
